Before we continue I am going to admit that I have never lived anywhere other than Los Angeles. And why would I? I love it here! This is my home. We have the ocean, the mountains, the city, and the best weather. Why would I ever need to call another place “home”? My love for LA is quite deep and as much as I know the ins and outs of the city there are always new things to be discovered. New shops, new restaurants, new farmers markets, and even new popular Instagram spots. I swear I passed by the “Made in LA” wall by Cisco Home every week for nearly two years before I realized it was one of LA’s best Instagram spots. Oh yeah and that pink wall too (Paul Smith).
So we know that LA is fairly large. It’s very spread out compared to other dense cities (like our friends over there on the east coast). I think sometimes people forget downtown and Hollywood are about an hour’s drive away, of course depending on traffic. But within this large area there are several neighborhoods and cities that are each unique in their own way. Each filled with their own identity, culture, and history.
Urbanity Design Studio has been inspired by several of LA’s neighborhoods to design and curate rooms for LA living. See how we translate 9 areas into interior design styles. Like what you see? Check out our e-design packages so you can get your LA look.
